New Zealand's first ice cream-themed hotel room launches in Queenstown

Who says ice cream is just for summer?

During winter Queenstown is arguably the best place to be in New Zealand, and one hotel has really upped the ante with its first ever ice cream-themed hotel room - and yes, it comes with unlimited ice cream.

The AM Show reporter Aziz Al-sa'afin went to check it out this morning for The AM Show, and says it's "New Zealand's most Instagrammable hotel room".

"You've got camp neon signs, you've got unlimited ice cream, which is something every person would love after a day out on the mountains."

It's true - if you're staying here you should get your Instagram at the ready.

The room has been fully decked out in Halo Top regalia, including a bath decorated like an ice cream tub.

You can even enjoy an after-five ice cream treat, with a Halo Top cocktail kit. The room service menu includes Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dessert, Nachos or a Dairy-Free Caramel Macchiato Dessert Shake.

It's all to mark the first birthday of Halo Top in New Zealand.

"Our Kiwi fans welcomed Halo Top to New Zealand with open arms so we wanted to do something special for them," said Doug Bouton, Halo Top Creamery President and COO.

"To make it easy on our fans, we're bringing Halo Top straight from the freezer to where we know they'll be this winter  the ski lodge… We can't wait to hear what our Kiwi fans think!"

As you can expect, it's only available for a limited time. Reservations are first in, first soft-served from July 22 to August 4.
