Chinese's state news channel CGTN has released a 360-degree tour of the airport providing a detailed look inside the terminal.

The new airport will be one of the world's largest when it opens, spanning 700,000 square-metres.  It will be able to handle more than 40 million passengers a year and almost double that by 2025.

The 'starfish' layout is designed to shorten the distance passengers will have to walk when passing through the airport.

The airport will be Zaha Hadid Architects first fully completed airport, but won't be their last. The company is currently working on a new international airport for Mumbai.
