If you are heading to London for your OE and want to live free in a very central location the Queen has a few jobs going.

The pay is not great but aside from free accommodation some of the roles also have meals thrown in.

One role up for grabs is as a catering assistant at Buckingham Palace, billed as the perfect way to start your hospitality career.

The Queen is famous for her state banquets and so if you fancy polishing hundreds of sets of cutlery this could be for you.

An advert for the role on the Royal Household website says:

"In this role, you’ll join a close knit and committed team who deliver our staff catering to the highest standard.

"You’ll assist with food preparation and displays, and maintain a clean environment, all of which will help ensure everything is ready for a busy daily service."

If horses are more of your thing then there is also a job going as a liveried helper.

Accommodation is also provided but it doesn't say anything about meals, but you will get to assist in ceremonial events with riding and driving the horses on the day.

The advert says:

"Joining us as a Liveried Helper you’ll help provide daily care for the horses at the Royal Mews.

"You’ll exercise and train them regularly, getting them ready for their role in ceremonial activities."
