Adorable video: Kiwi, Aussie get married halfway through Trans-Tasman flight

Cathy and David met online while playing a game called Airport City and chatted for well over a year before she plucked up the courage to call him and wish him a happy birthday.

The following year, Cathy took her first ever trip to Australia to meet the man who would go on to be her husband.

For their wedding, the pair wanted something really memorable. They said wanted it to symbolise their "love for aviation, Australia and New Zealand and for each other".

"I posted on Jetstar's Facebook page with the question. I was so excited when they said they'd see what they could do," Cathy said, after flying Jetstar on that first flight across the ditch.

"I wish I'd met David 25 years ago. We definitely love planes. We even have a rule that whoever sees the first commercial flight on any day doesn't cook!"

David, who also proposed to Cathy on a Jetstar flight, said it was the most amazing experience of his life.

It's not known where the couple are honeymooning, but it's safe to say it'll probably be somewhere on the Jetstar network.
