A plane experiencing hydraulic issues has landed safely at Christchurch Airport.

Authorities were alerted about 8am and waited for the flight to land, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson told Newshub. It is understood the plane landed safely, however, and no further action was required.

It's believed to be Air New Zealand flight NZ8807 from Tauranga. Flightradar24 data suggests landing was delayed by 30 minutes.
