Coronavirus: Chinese airline first to make changes to NZ flights

Sichuan Airlines has become the first airline with direct flights out of New Zealand to China to make changes to their schedule due to the coronavirus.

The airline operates flights between Auckland and Chengdu on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

However the airline has confirmed to Newshub that flights 3U8910 and 3U8909 won't operate on February 13, 18, 22, 29, or March 5.

On Wednesday a passenger arriving in Auckland on a flight from Hong Kong was met by medical staff after showing symptoms similar to those of the virus, however they were later released after being given the all clear.
