Heavy, thick fog has returned to Wellington this morning, disrupting the travel plans of hundreds.
So far, five regional flights have been cancelled, and six have been delayed.
MetService has said the low cloud is already beginning to break up and it's expected the fog will be clear of the airport by 10am.

It comes just two days after fog closed Wellington Airport for hours on Sunday.
