The Flight Centre travel expo is taking place in Christchurch on Sunday, and with it comes airfares only available to South Islanders for one day.
Fares on sale include return flights to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Gold Coast from $359 per person, or Fiji return flights for $489 per person.

- Hawaii $699 return, flying Fiji Airways out of Christchurch
- Bali $799 return, flying Qantas out of Christchurch
- Tokyo $699 return, flying Fiji Airways out of Christchurch
- Rarotonga $775 return, flying Air New Zealand out of Christchurch
- Los Angeles or San Francisco $899 return, flying Fiji Airways out of Christchurch
- Phuket $899 return, flying Qantas out of Christchurch
- Europe (Milan) $1299 return, flying Etihad Airways out of Christchurch
- London $1599 return, flying Emirates out of Christchurch
The expo is being held at Horncastle Arena, but the special fares can also be booked at any Flight Centre in the South Island.
A similar event will be held in Auckland and Wellington later this year.
