Coronavirus: Air New Zealand offers $9 domestic flights to combat lagging sales

If you're looking for a cheap domestic getaway, then look no further than Air New Zealand's latest Grabaseat deal.

On Monday morning, the airline will release 1000 domestic flights for just $9 one-way to all 20 domestic destinations.

Air New Zealand chief revenue officer Cam Wallace says the cheap fares are in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus impacting sales.

"With deals this good, savvy Kiwis will be able to book a relaxing weekend away, catch some autumn sun, or take the kids away to explore a new part of the country," he says.

The deals will be available on the Grabaseat website or the Grabaseat app from 9am.

The cheap fares come off the back of Air New Zealand offering flights to Australia from $69, which was also done to fill empty seats left by the COVID-19 outbreak.
