Fiji Airways has confirmed it will provide evacuation flights for New Zealanders in Fiji and Fijians in New Zealand who wish to return home.

The airline is also allowing any travellers holding unused Fiji Airways tickets for any flights between Auckland and Nadi to change their bookings to the special flight at no extra cost.

Anyone travelling to Fiji must have a Fijian passport and will be required to enter 14 day self isolation at a government facility.

Bookings must be made via the airline's website or through their call centre on 0800-800-178. The company's Auckland sales office will not be able to sell tickets on the flight due to the inbound travel restrictions in Fiji.

The first flight will depart Nadi at 10am on Friday, arriving in Auckland at 1pm. The aircraft will then leave Auckland just after 2pm landing in Fiji at 5pm.
