The photographer who snapped pictures of abandoned aircraft parked at Avalon Airport in Melbourne says she didn't expect the images to be so popular.
Ingrid Hendriksen took the photos while flying with her husband.
"My husband and I have combined our hobbies of flying and photography. We have been photographing for many years flying around Australia and overseas together now," Hendriksen told Newshub.
She believes the photos have been popular because people feel a connection to Qantas and Jetstar, and the aviation industry as a whole.
The photos have received an "overwhelming reaction" and reached around 750,000 people so far, with 3300 shares on Facebook.
