A photo appearing to show a man and woman kissing through a face mask on a plane has turned them into mysterious social media stars.
The picture was posted last week on the Passenger Shaming Instagram account, which has catalogued many odd images of people's travel habits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Me getting ready for the weekend with my man like," the post is captioned, with the hashtag #maskmakeout.
Although the authenticity of the photo hasn't been verified, it's said to have been snapped on an Allegiant Air flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Columbus, Ohio.
The post has amassed over 10,000 likes and hundreds of comments. While many have been joking about the kissers, others are unhappy at their actions.
"Safest way to make out," commented one Instagram user.
"This seems safe I guess, but the other passengers throwing up in their masks watching this might be an issue," added another.
The stars pictured in the photo have yet to publicly reveal their identities.
Other recent Passenger Shaming posts show people using various large plastic coverings for protection from coronavirus, along with one woman using underwear as a face mask and a man in a Make America Great Again cap using a face mask to cover his eyes.
