A former Air New Zealand flight attendant is delighting social media with videos showing she's grateful to have a new job at a supermarket -  and even the airline's CEO is a fan.

Aucklander Sarah Jones posted video on TikTok as she danced on her last day in the airline job, then again to the same song the next day from her new role in a Countdown.

Air NZ CEO Greg Foran told Jones he "loves" her video in an email she shared on Instagram.

"Good on you for making a difference," he told her.

"I spent 41 years being a shopkeeper and am very familiar with the role. Hope we can get you back flying again with us real soon though.

"We miss you - Greg."

Like most airlines around the world, Air NZ has had to make a lot of its workforce redundant as the COVID-19 pandemic decimated the travel industry.

Jones said of Foran's response: "What a good guy."

Her TikTok post has received 31,000 likes at the time of publishing.
