Two men have been arrested over a bloody fight on a flight from Amsterdam to Ibiza, allegedly begun over a face mask disagreement.

Footage of the July 31 (local time) incident has been uploaded to Twitter with a caption saying a "drunk and unruly" passenger refused to wear a face mask.

The video has people speaking in multiple languages, including swearing in English.

"Stop now, there are kids over here!" yells an onlooker in the clip.

Dutch airline KLM confirmed the incident in a statement to media.

"Two unruly passengers refused to wear their face masks, and they were bothering their fellow passengers physically and verbally," a spokesperson for the airline said.

"The pilot informed the local authorities and upon arrival, both passengers were arrested. The flight safety was not compromised during the flight."

KLM's current COVID-19 guidelines require passengers to wear face masks unless they are under 10 years old or can't wear them due to medical reasons.
