Le Laperouse cruise of New Zealand to set sail in February

Luxury French cruise line Ponant is set to launch one of the first cruises anywhere in the world in 2021, and it will take place here in Aotearoa.

'Le Laperouse' will take to the waters of New Zealand this summer after the Government gave it the go ahead just before Christmas.

But this beautiful boat isn't quite your mega cruiseliner, so cabin spaces are limited - there is a maximum of 100 guests allowed onboard.

The first New Zealand voyage will be commencing Feburary 8 2021 with a 14-night voyage from Auckland to Lyttelton taking in the Chatham Islands and New Zealand's famed Subantarctic Islands - including the Antipodes, Campbell, Auckland and the Snares.

Onboard the boat itself, guests have access to an infinity pool and scenic sauna, all-inclusive meals at the Gastronomic and Grill Restaurant, and an open bar stocked with French champagne, wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages

The boat also features 'The Blue Eye', which is described as a "multisensorial underwater lounge offering a unique, one-of-a-kind experience".
