While global travel remains a thing mostly of dreams, many people are turning to luxury travel websites for inspiration.
Recent research from Airbnb into which properties on its website are the most desired has come up with ten properties that have been added to the wishlists of New Zealand users more than any others.
Despite how alluring these places are, you may be surprised at how affordable most are - some are less than NZ$100 per night.
"From a house overhanging its own private beach in Brazil to a Balinese treehouse and a cave home on Santorini, Kiwis are dreaming about the far-flung destinations they can experience when international travel is once again on the cards," Susan Wheeldon, Airbnb Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand said.
"Not surprisingly, exotic locations and unique listings - such as tree houses, cabins, miniature homes and farm stays - are all highly sought after, as well as homes that are designed for relaxing and unwinding, with everything from panoramic views to outdoor baths."
