Man duct taped to seat after allegedly groping, assaulting cabin crew on Frontier Airlines flight in US

A passenger on a flight from Philadelphia to Miami had to be strapped to his seat when he started acting dangerously out of control in mid-air on a Frontier Airlines flight on Saturday (local time).

It's alleged the man inappropriately touched a flight attendant before assaulting another. In a video shot by Alfredo Rivera, the passenger is shown then being strapped to his seat with duct tape until the flight landed.

A 22-year-old man, Maxwell Berry, of Ohio was arrested and charged with three counts of battery (assault).

According to the police report, Berry allegedly groped the breasts of two female flight attendants.

Frontier Airlines confirmed the incident in a statement to local media.

"During a flight from Philadelphia to Miami on July 31, a passenger made inappropriate physical contact with a flight attendant and subsequently physically assaulted another flight attendant," a spokesperson said.

"As a result, the passenger needed to be restrained until the flight landed in Miami and law enforcement arrived. The flight attendants will be, as required in such circumstances, relieved of flying pending completion of investigation of the events."

Berry was taken to Miami-Dade County Jail - TGK Correctional Center after his arrest.
