Virgin Australia has managed to sum up how the world's keen travellers are feeling, with a one word tweet: "Yep."
The sardonic tweet was in response to the airline's older cousin Virgin Atlantic which had said "Retweet if you really want to go on a holiday"
Actually, that's a shortened version of their tweet. It actually read, "Retweet if you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, want to go on holiday."
For many that might not even be enough repeats of the word 'really' to represent how keen they are to return to a world which included taking holidays. So, Virgin Australia's response was the perfect summation of their frustration.
"Yep."
Dozens of other Twitter users responded too. Most of them joined in on the sentimental spirit of the message, sharing the names of places they miss visiting. From Florita to Tenerife, Ibiza to Los Angeles.
However Twitter user Jason was having none of that. His reply was simple, to the point, and probably similar to what a lot of travellers on this side of the world have said a lot lately too.
"Just my refund please."
