For those of you dreaming of dashing off to Hawaii for some time on its beautiful beaches in the hot sun, this might make you feel a little bit better about having to wait a while longer.

Weather authorities in the United States have issued a blizzard warning for Hawaii's Big Island, an island more used to dealing with lava flows with temperatures warmer than 1000 celsius rather than snow.

Travel to the popular Big Island is being restricted until the weather system has passed in a couple of days.

While the idea of snow falling in Hawaii may seem absurd, it's not that uncommon. CNN reports that in 2021, Hawaii has had more snow falling and the ski fields of Denver Colorado.
