Qatar Airways is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the possibility of more international travel in 2022 by offering international return airfares to New Zealanders from as low as $1399 return.
The sale airfares are available to purchase from today through to January 18, for travel that must be completed by the end of October this year.
The 25th anniversary global sale is also offering discounts on seat selection, extra baggage allowance, hotel bookings and car rental.

- Auckland-London return: $2179
- Auckland-Johannesburg return: $1605
- Auckland-Dublin return: $1869
- Auckland-Rome return: $2019
Business Class fares are also available in the sale from NZ$6469.
Recently, the Omicron variant of COVID-19 saw thousands of flights cancelled around the world.
Potential customers of the Qatar Airways sale should note that it advises they "refer to the fare rules at the time of booking for change, cancellation and no-show conditions and fees" and notes that "change fees are applicable on top of any fare differences".
In addition to the reduced airfares, passengers joining the airline's loyalty programme, Privilege Club, will earn an additional 2500 bonus Qmiles when using the enrolment promo code FLYQR22.
Qatar Airways nonstop flights between Doha to Auckland are amongst the longest in the world. The 14,500 kilometre flight takes 18 hours.
Currently, the longest non-stop flight is operated by Singapore Airlines between Singapore and Newark, a 15,345 kilometre journey.
