AirAsia X has launched a sale with travel dates until March next year hoping to attract New Zealanders planning an overseas holiday.
The low-cost Malaysian airline is advertising economy airfares from Auckland to Sydney for $139 each way and to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia via Sydney for $499 each way.
Premium lie-flat bed airfares are also on offer in the sale at prices of $299 for Auckland-Sydney and $1199 for Auckland-Kuala Lumpur.
The promotional airfares went on sale on Monday and will run until August 17 unless sold out prior, for travel periods between September 4, 2023 and March 31, 2024.
The sale airfares don't include checked baggage and have other terms and conditions potential customers should carefully check before booking travel.
People looking to buy airline tickets between Auckland and Kuala Lumpur with stopovers also have options from the likes of Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Southern, and Air New Zealand with partner airlines.
AirAsia is an airline based in Kuala Lumpur, from where New Zealand customers could travel further with often discounted fares on offer from the airline to other destinations in Malaysia like Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu as well as international destinations in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, China and Vietnam.
