Jetstar NZ has launched a new sale with domestic airfares starting at $30 each way and international from $139 for travel dates ranging between mid-October and early December of this year.
The 'Parsnip or Trip' sale starts at midday Friday and runs through to 11:59pm Saturday, unless sold out prior.
To promote its airfares, Jetstar launched a "boring" pop-up in Auckland's Newmarket that features a menu with only one item: raw parsnips.
The Australian-owned budget airline said the promotion was carried out to emphasise the importance of "choice in travel". Flight vouchers can be won by people who physically attend the pop-up.
All of the routes in the sale are also flown by Air New Zealand and some of them are also serviced by other airlines such as Qantas and Emirates.
As with all sales, potential customers should carefully check the terms and conditions before purchasing. The advertised prices are the cheapest available and do not include checked baggage.
