Footage has emerged of the moment plane spotters were thrown into the air after getting too close to the action.
Three people were injured after being blown across the road by the force of the aircraft's engines as it took off from Rarotonga.
The aircraft involved was an Air New Zealand Boeing 777-200 about to depart for Auckland.
They were all taken to hospital but were released a week later.
The airport said there are warning signs on the road warning people of the risk.
Air New Zealand stated they have no control over public roads on the island.
