David Cameron pushes for air strikes in Syria

British Prime Minister David Cameron has made it clear that he wants Parliament to authorise the start of air strikes against terror targets in Syria.

Currently, the UK military only has permission to carry out air strikes in Iraq - something Mr Cameron wants to see changed.

Speaking to the US television network NBC, Mr Cameron said the UK needs to "step up and do more" against Islamic State.
