Australian accused murderer Gable has posted a contentious photo on social media just days after being released from prison, according to reports.

The 29-year-old Gold Coast man is accused of killing Lower Hutt woman Warriena Wright, 26, who fell to her death from the balcony of his 14th-floor Surfers Paradise apartment on August 8, shortly after meeting on dating app Tinder.

Tostee has served six months of a 10-month sentence for an unrelated incident, after last year pleading guilty to driving drunk and speeding away from New South Wales police after a music festival on July 27.

He was released on Saturday, and shortly afterwards posted a photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger smoking a cigar accompanied by the words, "I'm back", the Courier Mail reports.

Tostee's bail conditions ban him from using Tinder and other social media to meet women.

He will be back in court next month to face charges over the alleged murder of Ms Wright.
