An 81-year-old British man has been working since 1950, and he's never once called in sick.

Joe Foster helps manage platforms at a busy commuter railway station in Bromley, south of London.

He's been called Britain's most reliable worker, and says he will work until he "drops".

"I like doing my job because I'm a dispatchaholic," says Mr Foster.

"I do like the job and looking after people. If you look after them, they look after you."

He used to start at 6am, but now works afternoons, evenings and weekends.

The secret to his good health? Good diet and exercise.

"It must be working as I have never taken a day off ill."

He has three children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
