The body of a New Zealander who died at a dance party in Turkey has been handed back to her family.
Thirty-one-year-old Keshia Handa fell around 10 metres when a ledge gave way during a salsa dance party at the Grand Hotel de Londres in Istanbul.
Emergency crews say she broke her neck and was killed instantly.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade says it is aware of the death and the New Zealand Embassy in Ankara is supporting Ms Handa's next-of-kin.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time," a spokesperson says.
