Video: Woman saves pizza, dog from South Carolina floods

As South Carolina is inundated with heavy flooding, residents were left with little time to get their precious belongings – including one woman who decided to save her pizza and her puppy.

Curfews have been put in place, dozens of people need rescuing, and interstates are closed, and at least four people are believed to have died in some of the worst flooding the state has seen.

As news organisations do, reporters were sent to the scene to cover the damage and to tell people's stories of the flooding.

One of those people was Angela Williams who was interviewed live on local news station WIS News 10 in front of a swollen waterway.

She was asked whether she managed to get anything from her house before leaving.

"I got nothing but two Totino's pizzas out of the 'frigerator, and my doggy and we left and that's it. I tried to grab some other things but they weren't even worth it (sic)," she said.

A video of the interview was posted by a Twitter user earlier today and has been retweeted almost 500 times.
