Extended video: What it takes to camp in Antarctica

Antarctica's Dry Valleys – one of the world's most barren landscapes – is where our scientists come year after year for months at a time, living and working in conditions most people can only imagine.

Conditions that 3D shared for a week.

Camping in -10degC, 1750m above sea level, winds up to 320km/h – it seems like madness.

The big science is done out in the field, but no one would claim that it's comfortable.

Watch the video for the full 3D report.
