Starving horses rescued in Victoria

Animal welfare inspectors in Australia have rescued more than 100 starving horses and ponies from a property in western Victoria.

It's one of the largest animal rescues ever in Australia.

RSPCA chief executive Liz Walker says some of the animals will never be fully rehabilitated.

"The most important thing for us is that we have the horses and that they're under care," she says. "It's going to be a very long and expensive process to actually rehabilitate those animals."
