UK ministers fight to save ancient tradition

The laws of the land in the United Kingdom have been written on vellum - thin pieces of calf skin - stretching back 1000 years.

Now, the House of Lords want to stop the ancient practice in a bid to save money.

But ministers say the tradition cannot be allowed to die out, and are fighting to keep it.
