A chef in Western Australia has discovered a giant sweet potato in his backyard veggie garden.

It weighs 22 kilograms, which is about equivalent to six newborn babies.

Victor Thompson's giant potato is believed to be the biggest uncovered in Australia, although it is still 15 kilograms shy of the world record.

Unfortunately for Mr Thompson, and despite his culinary skills, the potato isn't edible.
