The car that rolled back, pinning and killing Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin outside his home was under a worldwide recall.
Police believe the actor may not have put the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee properly into park, and it's been revealed the model has a defect in its electronic shifter that can result in such incidents.
The car's manufacturer is investigating, but says it's too early to say what caused the accident.
