A one-of-a-kind, modern sculptural clock has been damaged at the National Watch and Clock Museum in the US after being knocked off the wall.

Surveillance footage shows a visitor to the Pennsylvania museum last Sunday ignoring the 'do not touch' signs, trying to make the clock work.

After several tries, the 1.8m-long and 1.2m-wide timepiece fell off. He tried to put the clock back on the wall, but museum personnel were notified and took it away.

Despite the damage, no criminal charges will be laid.
