It was Russia Day on Sunday, and the city of Yekaterinburg decided to celebrate in the best way possible -- a dumpling eating competition.
Fifty contestants gathered in a shopping centre to fight for the prize -- a month's supply of dumplings, valued at around 2,000 rubles (NZ$43.48).
The winner was Ivan Nikolsky, the victor for the second year in a row, after eating 30 dumplings in 32 seconds. All hail the Motherland!
