A model who was horrifically disfigured in an acid attack will walk a New York Fashion Week runway.
Reshma Banoo Qureshi, 19, of India, lost an eye when her brother-in-law attacked her with acid, according to the Huffington Post.
The teenager has been announced as the official face of foundation Make Love Not Scars (MLNS) after actively protesting the unregulated sale of acid.
She will make her first-ever overseas trip for the event, travelling to New York City, and says the important thing about beauty is having a "beautiful heart".
