Dash camera footage has captured a spectacular crash involving 10 cars and the heroic rescue effort from a group of bystanders on a New York freeway.
The high-speed collision occurred last Thursday (local time), and shows the terrifying moment a tractor truck smashes through a swathe of slow-moving vehicles.
The following minutes are like something from a horror movie - with fires erupting, beaten up cars everywhere and debris littering the road.
One person was trapped in a car that went up in flames, but a number of gallant onlookers came to the rescue, putting out the fire and ripping the man out of the vehicle.
Ten people were injured in the crash.
