A real-life Spider-Man has scaled the outside of a building with his bare hands to save a child dangling from a window in China .

Liang Lee, from Shandong Province, scaled the wall to reach the child.

"I got here and found the boy barely moving," Mr Liang told local media. "His legs were shaking. I decided to climb up as I thought he was in danger.

"If the boy [had] turned his head, he would [have fallen] from the gap of the bars."

The unnamed toddler had fallen from the balcony window of an apartment block after his parents left him home alone.

Mr Liang, who heard cries for help, scaled several floors to rescue the toddler.

A locksmith opened the door of the boy's home and pulled them both inside.

The boy's parents are reported to have returned home later and thanked Mr Liang profusely.

Luckily, the child was not injured despite his ordeal.
