Hurricane Matthew has left Haiti in tatters.

Almost 900 people are now known to have died, with tens of thousands homeless. It could take days to assess the true damage, with rescue workers still struggling to reach remote areas.

The country was battered with 230km/h winds and torrential rain.

Six years ago Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake - it still hasn't recovered from that disaster, and now Haiti needs even more aid.
