A series of etchings has been discovered in a cave in the small town of Lekeitio in the northwest of Spain.
The etchings have been dated to about 14,500 years ago, which would place them in the pre-historic period.
There are about 50 etchings in total, representing horses, bison, goats and even two lions. There are also circles and lines.
The images were found in a hard-to-access cave below a building.
A special congress will be held at the end of October to discuss the findings, which a local city councillor described as a "treasure of humanity".
