The BBC has released an extended look at its upcoming second series of Planet Earth.

The show is the follow up to the groundbreaking 2006 television series famously narrated by Sir David Attenborough.

The extended trailer features breathtaking footage of the natural world, accompanied by a score from renowned Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer, known for Interstellar and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The series will have Sir David return as narrator for six new episodes, each of which will focus on a different type of habitat on Earth, including an episode on animals living in urban environments.

Planet Earth II took four years to film, with material shot in 64 countries around the world, using the latest technology to capture ultra-HD footage of the natural world.

The series will debut in the UK on BBC One in November.
