New high-definition footage has been released showing the impressive power of a volcanic eruption in Hawaii.
The video was made by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). It shows incredible scenes of glowing molten rock bubbling and bursting on the Kilauea mountain.
The summit started erupting in March 2015, creating an active lava lake within the volcano's crater.
Since then the volcano has continued to spew molten lava around the edges of the lake's boundaries. The lava has flowed about a mile down the mountainside to the ocean.
Scientists with the USGS have been mapping and observing the flow as the volcano spews forth the hot lava.
