He survived 638 assassination attempts, was at the helm of Cuba for 49 years and nearly sparked a nuclear war. But bad health finally got the better of 90-year-old former Cuban president Fidel Castro.

What lies ahead for Cuba without their former leader and what impact will his passing have on their international relations and trade negotiations?
