A father's post praising his two sons' random act of kindness has gone viral.

Daniel Medina from Wisconsin had a "proud dad moment" when his two sons asked him to stop the car so they could help a wheelchair user shovel snow off the footpath.

Mr Medina posted to Facebook on Monday, saying:

"Proud dad moment we're driving down s60th st near Morgan and my two sons aged 10 and 6 asked me to pull over because they just seen a guy in a wheel chair trying to shovel his corner lot and they wanted to help [sic]"

The post was then shared to Love What Matters Facebook page the following day, where it went viral with tens of thousands of reactions and comments.

"True christmas spirit!", one Facebook user said, while another said "good job parents, you taught your kids well."

Mr Medina has since responded to give thanks for the thousands of comments and shares.
