The band members of Bliss n Eso were absent from the music video filming.

"We are able to confirm the death of a person occurred today at the filming of a Bliss n Eso music clip," a statement from the group read.

"The band were not on site at the time. The video production crew and our team are currently working with the police in their investigation and we are unable to provide further comment at this time."

Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said the man was shot in what they called "a workplace incident" just before 2pm this afternoon at an underground bar in Brooklyn Standard on Eagle street.

Queensland Police have confirmed the man was an actor in his 20s and said "a number of firearms were used in the scene".

Police said film crew were "actively performing CPR on the person." Officers then assisted until paramedics arrived.

Occupants of the highrise building where the shooting occurred were advised to stay away from Eagle Street, which had been blocked off by police.
