Six children from one family have died in a house fire in the US city of Baltimore.
The blaze tore through the family's three-storey house in the early hours of Thursday morning (local time).
A nine-month-old boy, twin girls aged three, a 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were killed in the fire.
Four other family members survived and are being treated in hospital. One of the survivors, an eight-year-old girl, had helped two brothers outside.
Neighbour Robert Spencer tried to help but the flames forced him back.
"The little kids, I heard them yell. I saw the mother come from the flames around there. I thought I was in a movie," he said.
Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh said it was a shattering day.
"I can't imagine the pain of a mother or a father who has to suffer this kind of loss," she said. "Any loss is painful, but the loss of children pains you more deeply."
