Teen found 18 years after kidnapping 'carries no hate'

The 18-year-old woman who was stolen from a Florida hospital when she was just a newborn has spoken out about her ordeal.

Growing up, Alexis Manigo had no idea the woman who raised her, Gloria Williams, 51, would be arrested for allegedly dressing up as a nurse and kidnapping her from the hospital when she was a baby.

Miss Manigo has met with her birth parents, but says the woman charged with her abduction will always be her 'mum'.

She says she "carries no hate" towards the kidnapper who raised her. She told CBS news forgiveness comes easily "when you have lived the life I have, when you have been loved the way I have."

"I have no hate towards her. I love her," Manigo said.

The two were reunited in court this week and Ms Manigo burst into tears as she said goodbye to Williams.

"It was hard, it was very hard," Manigo recounted afterwards.

Her abductor waived extradition to Jacksonville, where she will face kidnapping charges, on Saturday (local time).
