Champagne bottle house a toast to dead brother

A builder from Russia's Ural Mountains has completed a touching tribute to his younger brother, who died in a tragic accident.

Eldar Ilchibayev has been without his brother for more than two years, but before his passing, his brother had told of his dream to construct a house out of champagne bottles.

The family followed through with the idea after his death, getting to work collecting the bottles needed.

Family and neighbours all helped to source the 12,000 empty champagne bottles required to complete the project.

The main frame of the home is made of timber beams, with a mixture of waste matter and concrete fitted into the holes between the bottles.

The house is now a local landmark, with residents and visitors often seen posing for photos in front of it.
