A US man was removed from a plane on Monday (local time) after allegedly telling people who had a foreign appearance to get off his flight.

In a video of the incident, the man is heard saying "illegals and s**t" ought to be kicked off the United Airlines flight from Chicago to Houston.

Other reports suggest he also asked whether a man with Middle Eastern appearance on the same aircraft had an explosive in his luggage.

In one moment in the video, a flight attendant is seen approaching the man and his female companion and telling them they would have to get off the plane.

Following that, the woman filming is heard yelling "a white supremacist is getting thrown off the plane!" before the man gets out of his seat and follows the cabin crew member.

The man's female acquaintance flips the middle finger, but the woman filming got the last word in, yelling: "Goodbye racist. This isn't Trump's America."

The plane is believed to have taken off once the two passengers had been removed.
