Pups play fetch for Brazil Open

A pro tennis tournament in Brazil will roll out rescue dogs to replace ball boys and girls for the second consecutive year.

Arguably among the best fetchers ever, six dogs from two Sao Paulo shelters will be decked in sweatbands and scarves and receive special training for their new jobs - including a lesson in giving the ball back.

The pups won't be serving the entire tournament; they're part of an exhibition match aimed at promoting the adoption of rescue dogs, but tournament organisers know they'll ace it.

Cindy, Nanda, Pretinha, Mia, Arlete and Ovelha will all be available for adoption afterwards, and with last year's ball dogs achieving a 100 percent adoption rate, the odds of a new home are looking good.
